LittleBigPlanet 2 lacks 3D support

Recently Sony has done everything in its power to help push the 3DTV and technology movement into the forefront of houses across the world. In fact, Sony has probably pushed the technology more so than any other company and has done this through movies and the video game industry. Oddly enough though, the publisher has no plans to include 3D support for one of its biggest titles in 2011 — LittleBigPlanet 2.

The decision to not include 3D support with the title comes as somewhat of a shock. After all, the best way to get 3DTVs into the home of the consumer is to continue to offer benefits for owning the technology. Considering how family oriented LittleBigPlanet can be, it would definitely prove wise to include the technology within the game.

Responding the Official PlayStation Blog, Mark Valledor informed a reader with: “Sorry, no 3D this time around.”

As someone who owns a 3DTV and is still paying that sucker off, I feel like this is a crappy situation to be in. I would have thoroughly enjoyed LittleBigPlanet 2 in 3D.

The frame-rate of LBP could go quite bad with everything going on in a user-created level without 3D..
I didn’t expect 3D in this game at all, because I knew it would be too much strain on the Ps3’s hardware =P

  2. I wasn’t expecting 3D nor do I care. At this point it’s not worth the extra cash.
