PlayStation Plus Bonuses Coming Soon to Vita with Free Games

PlayStation Plus is a HUGE value for PlayStation gamers. With exclusive demo and beta access, discounts on games and DLC, as well as the litany of free content – it’s almost like you’re losing money if you’re not a Plus subscriber. Over the past year I have received the entire Crash and Spyro trilogies, several PSN games like Outland and NFL Blitz and not to mention the triple-A games like inFAMOUS 2 and Resident Evil 5. It’s hard to argue with that sort of value (and that’s only a small chunk of the content.)

Starting next week, Vita owners can finally join in on the madness. If you’re already a subscriber, no worries, the Vita bonuses are thrown onto the same account. November 19th is the launch of a big system update that will introduce Plus features like online storage for game saves, automatic updates and trophy syncing. Additionally, the update will include other features like the ability to transfer data between your Vita and PC wirelessly and upgrades to the native web browser.

The highlight of this, of course, is the fact that we will be getting free games! On November 20th, you can redeem and download:

  • Uncharted: Golden Abyss
  • Jet Set Radio HD
  • WipEout 2048
  • Gravity Rush
  • Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack!
  • Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions (PSP game)

It’s about time if you ask me. One of the main reasons I kept my Vita and my subscription is the allure of free games-to-go. It took them long enough to add PS1 functionality, so this is fantastic news. I’ve already personally played Uncharted, but none of the others. Hey, maybe I’ll go back and try and get that platinum trophy in the game finally?

Let us know what you think in the comments below, along with which games YOU want to see for free on PlayStation Plus for Vita users.
