Sony Interactive Entertainment is set to dominate yet another awards show as two of its PlayStation 5 exclusives headline the prestigious BAFTA Game Awards 2022 nominations. Housemarque’s critically-acclaimed Returnal has been nominated in a whopping eight categories, followed by Insomniac Games’ Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart with seven nominations. Although published by Bethesda, Deathloop is yet another (timed) PS5 exclusive to headline the event with five nominations.

Returnal PS5 nomination categories

Returnal has been nominated for Artistic Achievement, Audio Achievement, Best Game, Game Design, Music, Narrative, Original Property, and Technical Achievement. It shares five of its nominations categories with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which also received nods in Animation and Family Game categories other than Artistic Achievement, Best Game, Game Design, Music, and Technical Achievement.
