Shift 2 will be releasing in Europe March 25th, and will be hitting North American stores 3 days later on March 29th for the PS3, PC, and Xbox 360. According to EA, Shift 2 will be “the most realistic racer ever”. We’ve heard that banter before, but luckily this time we have a trailer to base our own opinions upon.
By pre-ordering Shift 2, you get access to the Nissan Silvia spec.R Aero (S15), the Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV, and the Lamborghini Murciélago LP640, as well as 40 additional career events.
EA also mentioned that Shift 2 will be using the same multiplayer functionality as Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, which could either have a positive or negative impact on Shift 2’s style of racing. Expectations have been set rather high for this title, granted EA has praised it as the most realistic racer to date.
