When he isn’t getting a BAFTA fellowship or recommending his favorite games, PlayStation’s Shuhei Yoshida is best known for his celebration of indie games and all-around wholesome attitude. Well, now he’s also going to be known as a digital collectible that can be earned through the PlayStation Stars loyalty program.
PS Stars Shuhei Yoshida “Employee 32” collectible
Those signed up to the recently-launched PS Stars will find the “Employee 32” challenge with a digital Shuhei Yoshida bobblehead waiting as a reward.
To complete the challenge and earn the Shu bobblehead, players have to play one of the following games:
A Space for the Unbound
Before Your Eyes
Cult of the Lamb
Neon White
Sifu
The Knight Witch
Why these specific games? Well, they are recommended by the man himself and are intended to help “celebrate our pioneering independent creators and their long-time champion at PlayStation — and the newest BAFTA Fellow — Shuhei Yoshida.”
Once he’s been earned, players can add Shuhei to their showcase. Here’s @l0rdV1ta’s collection, with Shu taking the most prominent spot:
It will be interesting to see if other key PlayStation staff are featured as digital collectibles. My money is on Hermen Hulst or Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann popping up next.
