Along with online passes, a new trend that seems to be catching on is the season pass that essentially preorders a game’s DLC at a discount. Today brings news that the hotly-anticipated Uncharted 3 will be hopping on both bandwagons, with the latter coming in at $24.99.
Naughty Dog have said that they have, at least, seven multiplayer add-ons planned for the game, and this season pass, dubbed the “Fortune Hunters’ Club” covers all of them. Specifically, club members can expect four multiplayer map packs and three character skin bundles. According to ND, the individual cost of these items would total over $45.
I get a weird vibe from these season passes. Rockstar handled it well with L.A. Noire, detailing exactly what the pass got you for your money. Then there are cases such as Gears of War 3, where few specifics are given despite real money being plunked down. What do you think?
