When Vanquish was announced, I didn’t give it much thought considering how Bayonette turned out for the PlayStation 3. However, this latest released trailer depicting the gameplay of the upcoming title has piqued my interest to say the least.
Some may say that Vanquish looks as though it gives off the impression that it has stolen a lot of solid elements from other popular gaming franchises, but I think that’s a positive thing. It can never hurt to have a lot of great elements that we enjoy from other titles rolled up into one. Let’s just hope it all pans out.

It’s really impressive. I like the overall art direction and everything graphics wise.
Hopefully the gameplay will follow the “easy to play, hard to master” style that Shinji Mikami is known for.

Pretty sure it’s PS3/360 but as opposed to Bayonetta being developed with the 360 in mind (it wasn’t meant to be ported in the first place), they’re doing the opposite with this one and the PS3 version will be the lead platform.
Loving how this game looks. This was what they called an acrobatic shooter right? I guess this is where the melee moves comes in and it sure looks fun. Can’t wait to see more gameplay footage of this one. Still need to pick up Bayonetta too once it drops in price!
