Shuhei Yoshida has revealed some of Sony’s additional plans for the PlayStation Vita’s Remote Play feature in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine.

The Sony Worldwide Studios President demonstrated Remote Play at the Tokyo Games Show in Japan last month, showing Guerrilla Games’ PS3 shooter Killzone 3 being played remotely on the forthcoming handheld.

Despite that being done via a wired connection to the home console itself, Yoshida says a wireless connection can be achieved and that it was avoided at the event due to potential interference.

On top of that he also revealed that Sony is currently working on getting tools and software libraries needed to allow PS3 titles compatible – including touch screen integration – with Vita Remote Play out to developers, and that the device will also act as a “sub monitor” for PS3.
