EA Announces modern Medal of Honor

If you thought that Call of Duty had modern warfare under wraps without any means of competition, Electronic Arts has let the world know that it isn’t going to let Activision win that war too easily. Despite Battlefield Bad Company being a direct competitor to the Modern Warfare franchise, EA is determined to dig up and reinvent one of its most historic franchises, Medal of Honor.

Medal of Honor is going to be set in modern day Afghanistan and follows a Tier 1 Special Ops soldier on missions that can’t be achieved by anybody else. According to EA, “Tier 1 Operators from the US Special Operations Community” were brought in to aid in the development process in order to deliver a truly authentic experience.

For those of you excited about this news (we are), you can check out the worldwide unveiling of Medal of Honor during Spike Video Game Awards show on December 12th at 8:00 PM PST.
