Gorgeous PS5 Sci-Fi Action Adventure Game Out Today on PS Store

This week is a pretty big week for video game releases. Although there is one specific game PlayStation players are probably looking forward to, there are some other titles that may be worth checking out. That includes Aphelion, the newest game from the developers of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

What is Aphelion?

Developed and published by Don’t Nod, Aphelion is a sci-fi third-person action adventure game that puts players in the boots of two European Space Agency (ESA) astronauts, Ariane and Thomas. Set in the near future, Earth has become uninhabitable. However, the discovery of a planet at the edge of the solar system called Persephone is a beacon of hope for humanity. While the mission is hopeful, the ESA’s arrival on the planet is not, as they crash land on the frozen world, and are now searching for each other.

Here is a trailer and description of the game, giving players an idea of what to expect from the Aphelion:

“By 2060, Earth will be uninhabitable. The discovery of a 9th planet – Persephone – at the edge of the solar system is humanity’s best hope. The European Space Agency is dispatching the Hope-01 scientific mission, consisting of 2 of their accomplished astronauts, Ariane and Thomas. Their mission: to survey the planet and determine whether humanity can prosper anew here.”

Aphelion is out for the PS5 right now. Players interested can get it on the PS Store for $34.99. There is also a physical edition titled the Pioneer Edition for $39.99, which includes some extra goodies. Here is everything included in the launch day physical edition of the game:
