Sony has just announced the PS Plus Essential May 2026 monthly free games. Next month’s lineup is headlined by Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, which is a bit of a surprise because the RPG released less than a year ago. The incoming games will replace a lineup that, for the first time, offered only one PS4 game.

The full PS Plus Essential May lineup includes Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (PS5), EA Sports FC 26 (PS5, PS4), and Nine Sols (PS5, PS4).

All games will go live on Tuesday, May 5. The games will be available to claim until midnight on June 1.

Players have until Monday night, May 4, to claim April’s three free games: Lords of the Fallen (PS5), Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream (PS5), and Tomb Raider I-III Remastered (PS5, PS4).

A heads up for those new to PS Plus: unlike Extra and Premium games, Essential games are yours to keep forever. With an active membership, you can access the games anytime from your console’s library. Additionally, these freebies are available to members of all three tiers.
