PS5 is getting a new action game in a popular AMC TV franchise, and it’s probably not what you expected to see. The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is a side-scrolling beat ’em game that looks pretty promising, and is already drawing comparisons to popular titles in the genre.

Without further ado, here’s your first look at The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival:

Streets of Survival is being developed by Odaclick Game Studio (The Karate Kid: Street Rumble) and will be published by Trailmark Games. It’ll also be available on Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch & Switch 2, and PC.

“Play as iconic survivors Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and Michonne while fighting through walker-infested tunnels, devastated settlements, and hostile strongholds packed with explosive encounters,” an overview reads. “Face Alexandria’s most ruthless foes, the Saviors led by Negan, along with overwhelming waves of Walkers as you unleash crushing combos, signature weapon attacks, and devastating finishers in a relentless battle for survival.”

Fans’ response to the reveal has been largely positive, with many wondering why a Streets of Rage-style game wasn’t attempted until now.

The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival currently doesn’t have a release date or window. There is a demo available, but unfortunately, only on PC.
