A brand-new PlayStation 5 racing game has officially set its release date. The new game is moving up its release, and celebrating with a new trailer.

A brand-new Hot Wheels game is around the corner

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, a new racing game from Milestone and Mattel, is set to release on September 10, 2026, on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, ROG Xbox Ally/Ally X, and PC. For those keeping track, this is actually a new release date, and an earlier one. The game was originally set to release two weeks later, on September 24, but is moving up.

In celebration, Milestone has released the first episode of Beyond the Track, a series meant to break down some of what to expect in the upcoming game. The new video highlights some of the free-roaming activities that are available in the game. These include things like Daredevil challenges, Delivery Stunts, Stuntman activities, and more. Check it out below:

Alongside the video, Milestone also announced four of the islands that will appear in the game, Wheelswood, Tentacle Bay, Gearville, and Drifty Temples. Each island has its own unique environment, and variety of events and activities you can check out to expand your collection as you race around.

“Players begin their journey in the bustling streets of Wheelswood, the island that captures the energy of a modern metropolis, tasked with finding the best route through long straightaways, towering skyscrapers, and narrow side streets. With sandy beaches, green parks, and crystal-clear waters, Tentacle Bay offers a more relaxed setting dominated by nature and enriched by a rocky area and an archaeological park,” reads the game’s description.

“Gearville shifts the tone into a harsh desert island full of deep canyons, industrial excavation sites, massive factories, and heavy machinery. Finally, Drifty Temples transports players to a twilight setting inspired by East Asian aesthetics, where neon-lit city streets meet blooming cherry trees, water canals, and ancient temples, all watched over by a giant dragon. The four islands are interconnected through the Launcher, a teleportation system that allows players to jump between islands at any time.
