A gorgeous 2024 PS5 remake of a fan-favorite Square Enix classic RPG is half price on the PS Store in a limited-time deal. Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is the latest outing of the beloved 1988 Chunsoft-developed RPG. The remake was developed by Artdink Corporation.

PS5 players can grab Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake for just $29.99 until August 13. The game usually costs $59.99, and its promotional price of $29.99 is the lowest that it’s been available for on the PS Store.

There’s no add-on or DLC, no other edition, and no PS4 version available.

“Years ago, the great hero Ortega bid farewell to his wife and child as he set off on a quest to defeat the villainous Archfiend, Baramos,” the plot reads. “Ortega failed his quest, and Baramos still threatens the world. Now, on their sixteenth birthday, Ortega’s only child is summoned by the king of Aliahan and entrusted with a mission of the highest import: to take on Ortega’s quest, vanquish Baramos, and save the world.”

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is a single-player RPG that doesn’t require PS Plus to play. However, Premium users can cloud stream the title.
