The PS Store has dropped a brand-new PS5 action game in a fan-favorite franchise to an awesome player rating. Released yesterday, Halloween: The Game combines survival horror and stealth in a sandbox with both single-player and multiplayer modes.

Halloween: The Game is brought to us by Illfonic, the folks behind popular asymmetrical survival horror action games like Friday the 13th: The Game and Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed.

While critic reviews for Halloween’s PS5 versions are still scant, players have already delivered a verdict. On the PS Store, the game boasts a rating of 4.34/5 Stars based on nearly 3,000 votes and counting in a single day!

On Steam, Halloween: The Game currently holds a “Mostly Positive” rating based on more than 5,000 votes. However, PC players can be quite unforgiving, and Steam ratings are fairly easy to manipulate.

“As a Hero of Haddonfield, it’s your job to alert the residents of Haddonfield to the impending evil and help them escape before falling victim to Michael’s unyielding pursuit,” Halloween’s premise reads. “In dynamic and ever-changing 1v4 asymmetrical multiplayer matches, hero players must arm themselves with everyday household items, weapons, and knowledge to combat an unpredictable and unkillable enemy.”

Halloween: The Game’s standard edition costs $39.99 on the PS5.
