PS5 is getting a promising new action RPG by Vanillaware veteran and Unicorn Overlord director Takafumi Noma. Developed by Monochrome Software and published by Good Smile Company, Dawngazer will release on the PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC sometime in 2028. An Xbox version has not been announced.

Upcoming PS5 action RPG Dawngazer is the first game in new fantasy IP, Ignisphere

Dawngazer will be the first game set in a brand-new fantasy IP, Ignisphere. Check out a teaser below:

“Ignisphere is an entirely original, expansive world woven together by numerous nations and races,” Monochrome said in a press release. “As director of Unicorn Overlord, Noma was involved in every stage of development, including the story and character design. For Ignisphere, he aims to bring that hands-on approach to building a cohesive, immersive world.”

Monochrome didn’t reveal much about Ignisphere, but did say that the IP will extend beyond video games. Multiple novels are already in the works at Kadokawa, and fans can expect merchandize such as figures.

Further details about the novels will be announced at a later date. For now, fans have been asked to stay tuned to Ignisphere’s new Twitter account, which will share all the latest news and updates about the IP and Dawngazer.
