A classic shooter game’s PS5 remaster is finally out on the PlayStation Store and has received mostly positive reviews. Initially launched in 1998, the title was developed by Ritual Entertainment and published by Activision.

SiN: Reloaded, the enhanced version of the original, is now available for PlayStation 5 owners via the PS Store. Developed by Nightdive Studios, a subsidiary of Atari, the FPS remaster has received positive reviews from critics and players.

It currently holds an impressive Top Critic Average score of 72 out of 100 on OpenCritic. The game has also received an outstanding Global Player Rating of 4.59 out of 5 from PlayStation users.

What to Know About SiN Reloaded’s PS5 Return

SiN: Reloaded features memorable characters, alongside stunning visuals and modernized control schemes. It also includes an extra mission pack.

An official description for the PS5 remaster reads, “Enter a near-future dystopian world as security consultant Colonel John R. Blade as you take on the seductively evil Doctor Elexis Sinclaire. When Elexis, the CEO of SinTEK Industries, begins injecting the streets with a DNA-altering drug, it’s time to reassess the laws of morality. As Blade, you’ve made a religion out of fighting crime. Now you’re going to make Elexis pay for her sins by taking on her unholy army of genetically-engineered mutants.”

The gameplay enables players to hack into computer terminals using DOS-style code. They can also utilize elevators and security cameras. Plus, they can zip around in a forklift, patrol boat, and even a helicopter. What makes the story engaging and immersive is that players’ actions do have consequences, creating branching paths as the game progresses.

Alongside the original mission, players also get to enjoy the SiN: Wages of Sin extra mission pack. It’s been optimized using the KEX Engine. The remaster features HD textures and models, up to 4K resolution at 120 FPS. The 2D screens and menu art have been upgraded as well.

To relive the old days, players also get the option to switch between remastered visuals and the original SiN Gold version.
