What happens in the Fortnite trailer?
The live-action trailer for Fortnite: Treasure Hunters opens with an unidentified character speaking. “Seen the treasure, have we? Tempting, isn’t it?” the voice says before the trailer introduces the Straw Hat Pirates alongside their ship, the Going Merry.
The voiceover continues, “Your fortune favors stranger shores. A land of adventure. Danger. And just a touch of chaos. Let the hunt begin.” The players run toward a giant treasure chest. The clip also offers glimpses of the characters’ abilities and weapons.
Luffy receives the most screen time in the teaser. The teaser also showcases Luffy’s Gum-Gum Pistol attack. The attack uses his rubber-like body to deliver a long-range punch. He can also stretch his arm and punch enemies from a distance.
Fortnite Treasure Hunters is also expected to feature skins inspired by Nami, Zoro, Usopp, Sanji, and Buggy the Clown. Portgas D. Ace also appears in the promotional poster. However, it remains unclear whether the character cosmetics will be available when the update launches.
The Fortnite: Treasure Hunters mini season is scheduled to launch on November 1, 2026.
