It’s funny, really. You’d imagine that releasing a new SKU on to the market at the exact same price, but with an upgrade of 40GBs to the hard drive to not make much of an impact, if at all. Instead, however, Sony has seen a monumental increase in sales on Amazon.com with the introduction of its 160GB PlayStation 3 SKU.
Released at $299.99, like its 120GB predecessor, the 160GB model has shot up a whopping 40% in order to slide into the Top 10 list of the Video Games Division at Amazon.com. Considering the shortages that the 120GB model was facing, it’s easy to see that this re-stock of a new SKU has PlayStation buyers chomping at the bit for a piece of the action.
Furthermore, Sony also has several bundles going out that feature titles such as God of War III, LittleBigPlanet, and the upcoming motion technology, PlayStation Move.
Wow nice “move” putting GOW3 and LBP into bundles with the new SKU Sony. One for mature, one for everybody. They also need a UC2 bundle as everybody with a PS3 has to play that game.

Agreed. Everyone needs to experience Uncharted 2 so why not make a bundle out of it?
I’m not surprised the sales are increasing. Sony is offering more value for the dollar.
Hope sony overtakes microsoft, they deserve it
