Despite the fact that nobody seems to know when Gran Turismo 5 will finally see the light of day, Polyphony Digital’s Kazunori Yamauchi has already confirmed that development on Gran Turismo 6 has commenced. Considering Gran Turismo 5 spent 2,000 days in development, we should expect Gran Turismo 6 sometime in the ballpark of 2016 — so long as there are no delays or new jailbreaks in the PlayStation 4.
Speaking with Autoweek, Yamauchi spilled the beans ever so slightly: “Yeah,” Yamuchi states. “Development is underway.”
“It’s not something that we can talk that lightly on,” he added. “It took 2000 days to get all the ideas that went into GT5.
“It’s just too early to be talking about GT6”
It’s kind of hard to pick a spot to stand on this issue, because it’s definitely an issue. We haven’t experienced Gran Turismo 5 yet, but we’re already hearing about Gran Turismo 6 — seems a little unacceptable.
there starting to sound like square enix with final fantasy lol
This is the first stupid article I’ve read on this site. How can the planning for GT6 be an issue? That sounds like dedication. Why is 2016 and PS4 being brought up? Kazunori Yamauchi already said that the development time for GT6 will be a lot shorter than GT5. It will be using GT5 assets. The main reason GT5’s development was lengthy, was because they had to create a whole new software from scratch to run on the PS3 hardware.
how about anouncing gt6 in 5 years, somewhere before their ready to release
How about ya release the bloody game first.
