Speaking during a conference call with investors last night, THQ CEO Brian Farrell informed them that Volition has been hard at work improving upon the look and feel of Saint’s Row 3 as a franchise and also enhancing its technology. Furthermore, apparently Volition has a really innovative marketing plan to push for the product closer to release as well.
“We expect the next installment of Saints Row to be a significant growth driver in fiscal 2012. We’ve completely enhanced the technology, look and feel of this multi-million unit franchise while keeping its outrageous and over the top fun,” he said.
“We’re developing an innovative marketing campaign including an extensive transmedia strategy for this title. We also plan to expand the Saints Row brand on Facebook, Xbox Live Arcade and PSN, in addition to providing premium online content.”
The added content for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live happens to be the upcoming content entitled Saint’s Row: Drive By while the publisher also has plans for a Saint’s Row movie. Obviously outside of this, there isn’t any other details released for the title, so hopefully THQ spills the beans soon as I’m sure a lot of gamers are anticipating the next release.
