In a press release sent out yesterday (I’m late), Ubisoft revealed exactly how successful its Lineage short movie series has been thus far. According to the release, over 1.5 million individuals have seen the debut movie and are more than likely looking forward to the second. We’ve included an excerpt from the release below.

“Ubisoft today announced the first of the three episodes from the new Assassin’s Creed: Lineage short movies that made its debut onYouTube on October 27, 2009, was the most watched video on its website with over 1.7 million views worldwide in a period of 24 hours. On the day of its release, the first episode of Assassin’s Creed: Lineage was also the most commented video and it also received with excellent feedbacks from viewers.”

All three short films are scheduled to be released on November 13th, with a launch date for Ezio’s chapter of Assassin’s Creed on November 17th.
