A little over four days ago, a Twitter post confirmed that Atlus had no plans to localize its upcoming title Catherine to North America or Europe. However, today, the company has taken a complete 180 degree turn on its decision and has confirmed to IGN that it will indeed be releasing North America this Summer.

According to the Official Catherine website, which has finally gone live, there is a listing to the Amazon.com preorder page which also gives a release date of July 26th, 2011. Unfortunately, that date has yet to be confirmed, but sounds like a reasonable time for the game to make its debut on retail shelves.
