Bad Company 2 to receive 4-player co-op

In a press release sent out earlier today, EA has revealed that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is receiving an update that will enable 4-player co-op online through a new game mode entitled “Onslaught.”

This new mode takes place across four maps: Valparaiso, Atacama Desert, Isla Inocentes, and Nelson Bay. Of course, these four maps are also redesigned for better lighting, time of day, more vehicles and other small, subtle changes. Each map also included its own dedicated objective and thus far no release date has been set.

There is no word on a price point for this DLC, but I’d imagine that owners of the VIP Code will be receiving this content free of charge. If that’s not the case, I’ll be sure to update this post accordingly.

Currently, this announcement is only for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

  1. Awesome, BC2 needed some sort of co-op.

  2. Good, something to make me not sell the game. I really am considering selling it because the online is being ruined by people who spawn kill.

  3. Ahh too bad i already got rid of the game. looking forward to MoH. Anyways great news for BC2 multiplayers. Dice has always supported each and every game very well better than anyother developer out there.
