A patch for the PlayStation 3 version of Bayonetta has been released, solving some of the issues gamers had with the hack’n’slash game. Sega of the Netherlands announced that Sony was the developer behind the patch and not Platinum Games; surprising to many a website. However, we actually told you in December last year that a team of Sony engineers were working on fixing the PS3 game to somewhat match its Xbox 360 release.

The 135mb patch for a game originally ported from the Xbox 360 by Sega will eliminate frustrating load times and slightly improve the game’s framerate. Good work.

Thanks for the info, I probably would have never played the game again if I didn’t know this.

How did Sega f- this one up? It’s so simple. Most multiplatform developers make PS3 ports around the same quality as the 360 (not always as good, but close enough). It’s almost like Sega tried to make a shitty port. I’m not saying they did, but when you look at these other ports that developers paid zero attention on yet still managed to crank out a playable game, it makes you think that Sega put less than zero effort into the PS3 port.
