Akysys Games, publisher of the wildly popular 2D fighter BlazBlue has made their intentions clear. BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is coming to North America in Summer 2010 to be apart of the Playstation 3 library.

The sequel of Blazblue: Calamity Trigger by Arc System Works is loaded with a slew of upgrades in the form of three new characters, new moves, new combos, and new modes. Ease your performance while playing in the new Beginner Mode, perfect your combos by playing the Tutorial Mode, and for those advanced gamers, the Challenge Mode is loaded with challenges and missions. With luck and skill, you can control an entire army to help take over Kagutsuchi by wiping out the enemy and recruiting those you defeat in Legion Mode.

“If you’re not on the hype train this time, you’re missing out on the latest, greatest 2D game from Arc”, exclaims Gail Salamanca, Marketing Director at Aksys Games. “GET HYPE, CHOO CHOO!”

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is being released for the Playstation 3 and XBox 360. Check out the debut trailer below:

  4. @winnie the pooh: wtf? it looks great, its not 3d, but the art style is nothing to hate on

odd that there was barely any gameplay lol

  5. It is coming out here Blinky, in 13 days to be precise 😀

  6. im missing out because im not on the hype train but thats because this is the first time i’ve seen the game. Looks good but need to find out more on it.

  7. Gah, why are there always two amazing fighters in one year? Last year was SFIV and Blazblue. This year is SSFIV and Continuum Shift. And I only need one fighter every year.

  8. @TekaTaku, BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger (not Continuum Shift) is heading to the EU in thirteen days, to be extra precise.

  9. I have this game for psp and it blew me away with it’s combat system. Considering I could potentially play this way better on a console with a real D pad, I’m all in for this gagem. By the way you all should try it, it’s really awesome and fast peaced yet very techincal.

  10. @Kevin Sax, I stand corrected Mr. Sax.
