Sony has taken an usual approach to motion gaming this generation with its PlayStation Move accessory. While other companies have been strongly marketing the device to casual gamers, Sony has been pushing a lot of hardcore titles that include Move support. These titles range from the highly anticipated Killzone 3 to the family favorite LittleBigPlanet 2, regardless of which you’d prefer to play it on, the option to play a Triple-A title with Move support is a nice one.
Recently, the creator and inspiration behind Heavy Rain, David Cage, spoke to GamesIndustry.biz about PlayStation Move and what Sony needs to see from first-party and third-party participants in order to be a success.
“It really depends on the software because the hardware works really well,” Cage said. “If it’s only about casual entertainment and casual games I don’t think it’s going to play a big role in the life of the console. If it can get more support from triple-A titles then that will be interesting.”
We couldn’t agree more with Cage and think that if Sony continues to push Move support with titles like NBA 2K11, they’re going to be able to offer a portion of the market that is going widely ignored by Microsoft and Nintendo. It’s definitely going to be an interesting Holiday season.
It would be great to make more games Move-able (c wut i did thar?), and it would definitely make the games more accessible.
Yeah more games should get move patched and also most new games should have move support.
