Xbox 360 owners have been enjoying the first map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops for roughly ten day now and despite its timed exclusivity, PlayStation 3 owners can expect it in the very near future. According to Activision, PlayStation 3 owners can expect to get their hands on First Strike come March 3rd, 2011 — which wasn’t as bad of a turnaround time as I had originally expected.

Unfortunately for Activision, I doubt its projections for revenue through First Strike will meet its goals due to the recent outcry and petitioning against Call of Duty: Black Ops that has taken place. Despite that, we know a ton of gamers are still going to drop the $14.99 in order to get their fix.

First Strike includes a new series of multiplayer maps for the shooter, including “Berlin Wall,” “Discovery,” “Kowloon” and “Stadium.” It also happens to feature a fresh map for the game’s Zombie mode, with a map entitled “Ascension.”
