Call of Duty Elite fully detailed, plus a new MW3 multiplayer trailer

Ever since its announcement earlier this year, people have been worried about what exactly Call of Duty Elite will entail. How much would it cost, what’s included, and what you get with the free version of the service have all been hot topics of discussion. Well, now we know everything.

The premium service will run for $49.99 a year, and will include access to every bit of Modern Warfare 3 DLC as it releases (20 bits in all, yours to keep even if your membership expires), beefier clan functionality, tips and tutorials from pro gamers, extra video storage, exclusive competitions for real-world prizes (such as iPads and Jeeps, even), and entertainment from Hollywood talent (Ridley and Tony Scott, Will Arnett, and Jason Bateman are on board so far). There’s even more than that, but that’s the heaviest stuff — full details are found on the official Elite page in an enormous, but informative chart, and you can check it out by clicking here.

This then leads nicely to a new multiplayer trailer that was released over the weekend during the Call of Duty XP fan event, embedded below:

  1. Much better than the showing at E3. No idea if I will get it on release, or at all though. If I have the time for it…
