Dragon Age II, successor to Dragon Age: Origins, will drop its first demo come February 22, 2011. The demo will be available to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC gamers alike.
For those unfamiliar with the Dragon Age series, Dragon Age: Origins received fairly high reviews across the board. However, one large concern amongst console gamers was that the console version of the game offered so much less than its PC counterpart. Not only was that shown in the graphics of the game, but in much of the console interface itself. Gamers found themselves with fewer options than those enjoying the PC version of the game. Even then, Dragon Age: Origins is looked upon by many as a success.
Gamers who pre-order the title before March 8 will receive some goodies as well, including:
-The Lion of Orlias Shield
-The Fadeshear Sword
In addition, original purchasers of the game will receive the following:
-A Fighting Mabari War Hound
-The Mirror of Transformation
-Access to Exclusive Magic and Crafting Stores
Lastly, gamers who pre-ordered the BioWare Signature Edition of the game will receive the above extras as well.
The official release of Dragon Age II will be March 8, 2011 (NA), and March 11, 2011 (EU). For more information, visit the official Dragon Age II website.
