Killzone 3 to get Day One Patch

According to Managing Director Herman Hulst at Wednesday’s PlayStation Experience 2011, Killzone 3 will be receiving its first patch the day of release. Little was said regarding the content of the patch itself, but one can assume what the patch will contain.

There has been considerable talk as of late regarding hacks and Killzone 3’s multiplayer, some have even gone as far to say that hacks and glitches will ruin the Killzone 3 multiplayer experience. Given Hulst’s comment that the his team will be working hard to prevent and deal with problems such as hacks and glitches, we can infer that the update may contain their first attempt in curbing hacking.

The prominence of hackers in gaming has spiked up over the last year, causing many issues to other top FPS titles; namely the Call of Duty series. Sony has taken little action on hackers in the past, but hopefully they will not allow hackers to ruin one of their top and exclusive FPS titles.

  1. I had a small glitch in the open MP Beta (MP demo really). I was running next to a wall when I suddenly went into the wall, i was then sent back to before I got the wall. Might of been lag as it was the first match i played.
