Well, crap.

In an interview with weekly Japanese publication Dengeki Magazine, Final Fantasy Versus XIII director Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed that the game will be absent from the Tokyo Game Show next month. However, he also says that the timing for the game’s next appearance has been set, though he wouldn’t say when that will be.

Square Enix have other games under their sleeves, and we’ll surely hear more about them in Versus’ stead. Final Fantasy XIII-2 is well underway, and Type-0 will also surely make an appearance at the show.

Personally, the more I think about this, the less reason I have to believe that Versus XIII even exists. It looked exciting two years ago, but with yet another no-show at a major games show my excitement for the game has dwindled.

  1. Sqaure needs to stop showing off games 10 years before they fucking release. It’s pretty ridiculous. Same with Team Ico and TLG. Both games have lost so much hype because of the constant no shows and delays. If they want to keep a game in development forever, at least take the Valve route and stay completely shut up about it UNTIL it is ready to be unveiled with a release date not to far along the road.

    • i agree
but at leased with team ico they it takes that long because they hawe a 5 year dew cicle
but with sqaure they first make a trailer and geet back to work on 5 other games that they also hawe anounced
at leased it seems that way
