Did you stand in line last night with 200 people in preparation to grab your copy of Modern Warfare 2 for the PlayStation 3 only to dash home, throw that baby into your console and not receive any Trophies for your progress? Tsk tsk. You’re not alone, but that’s what happens when you buy products missing a lot of features that should have been in the game in the first place. While Activision hasn’t explained why this is happening, we’re going to go out on a limb and guess that they just removed Trophy self-activation altogether (Yes, I’m only kidding).

Some users from different fan sites have found a fix around the problem — apparently just deleting the patch you’re required to download prior to playing will solve the problem, but then you’re just stuck redownloading a patch all of the time (of course, you can skip it, but it’s a patch for a reason, right?). Hopefully Activision addresses the issue soon enough and we can receive a solution to the problem.
