Shortly before the release of God of War 3, Sony released a revamped HD collection of the previous God of War titles as the God of War Collection. This included God of War and God of War 2 on a single Blu-ray disc and also contained some bonus media content as well. This collection release also sparked the debate as to what to expect next in terms of HD collections and with that, we now have a Prince of Persia and Mortal Kombat collection heading our way as well…not to mention the Sly Cooper Collection.
However, starting next month, you will no longer have to take up shelf space or drive down to the store to pick up the God of War Collection. Instead, Sony is releasing the full release available for download on the PlayStation Network.
Oddly enough, gamers will not be forced to purchase both titles as a collection, but given the option to purchase each individually at €17.99/£13.99 or as the bundle pricing of €29.99/£23.99. Unfortunately, it looks as though this is only coming to Europe on November 3rd as I don’t believe a North American date was given.
Regardless, this is a great addition to the PlayStation Networks growing library and we’re sure it’ll sell pretty well once more.
Don’t forget about the Team Ico collection =)
I got the GOW collection last Christmas but never opened it…never played the 3rd one either…
