A little under a month ago, Sony threw everyone a curve ball while announcing that Gran Turismo 5 would be delayed slightly. This had the gaming industry and community laughing and crying all at the same time depending on where you stood. However, as promised, Sony has confirmed a new release date and it is definitely well before Christmas.

Revealed today, Gran Turismo 5 shall be releasing on November 24th, one day prior to Thanksgiving. To be honest, this may be the smartest move Sony has made this year. Not only does the game release in time for an extended Holiday away from business and school, but it also guarantees that people have money set aside for Black Friday in the United States.

It’ll definitely be interesting to see how all of this pans out.
