Let’s face it: We all knew Grant Theft Auto V was coming sooner or later. The question wasn’t whether or not there would be one, but when the game would be announced. Though there still hasn’t been an official announcement, thanks to a credible actor’s resume, Declan Mulvey, we may have our first confirmation that Grand Theft Auto V is in the works. Mulvey has credibility given his resume itself, which can be proven accurate on all the other fronts.

Mulvey's (videogame) resume.

Though there is always room for something like this to be proven wrong, Grand Theft Auto fans can certainly breathe a bit easier now. If this is falsified, you can be sure we’ll have an article up on it quickly.

Mulvey has responded to this recent news, claiming that the “Grand Theft Auto V” on his resume is a simple slip of the thumb, and is by no means confirmation that the game is in development. He went further to say that he has no role in the the title. Whether this is an attempt to cover up an accidental information leak or a mere typo is up to you, the readers, to decide.

  1. Isn’t it possible that this was a typo and he meant to type “IV” instead?

    • I thought about that too. Anything is possible at this point, but we can’t know without talking to Mulvey himself or letting time do the telling.

Apparently a typo, confirmed by author.

Could be cover of course, but it’s likely a typo.

  3. How could it be a typo, when he never did work in GTA IV? 😉 Busted!

  4. Typo or not we all know it’s coming. Possible E3 reveal, mid 2012 release. Rockstar released Red Dead Redemption in May last year, and are releasing L.A Noire this May. Expect GTA V in May 2012.
