PS5 action game BeastLink

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition developer Grove Street Games has announced a new PS5 action game, with a reveal trailer that has left players puzzled. Multiplayer kaiju action game BeastLink will also release on the Xbox Series X|S and PC. An early access launch is scheduled for summer 2026.

Reveal trailer for PS5 action game BeastLink gets mixed response from players

BeastLink is billed as “a brand new experience where humans, vehicles, and colossal Beasts collide in fully destructible cities at unprecedented scale.” Players will fight their way through “war-torn urban cities, amass the coveted serum, and use it to Link with towering Beasts, each with unique abilities and combat styles.”

It all sounds great until you see the trailer:

Confused? You’re not the only one. “Budget EDF [Earth Defense Force]?” asked one player. “Looks like a PS2 game,” wrote another. “This somehow manages to look both awesome and terrible at the same time,” reads one comment.

We’re going to reserve our judgment until we play BeastLink, but we’ve got to admit, the trailer doesn’t look great.

PC players will be partaking in a closed beta test starting this Friday, May 8. We’re pretty sure we’ll see some gameplay clips.

What do our readers think of the trailer?
