We’re quickly drawing near to the end of 2009 and while it’s exciting to know an entirely new year is upon is, it’s also great to reflect back on the year that has now passed us by. While some didn’t have the chance to experience it, those of us that did know that 2009 was a fantastic year for Sony and its slew of gaming consoles and hand held.

2009 played host to the release of excellent new IPs such as inFamous from SuckerPunch and Borderlands via Gearbox Software. PlayStation owners were also treated to not only the unanimous Game of the Year (Uncharted 2: Among Thieves), but also arguably the best shooter (Killzone 2) and best RPG title (Demon’s Souls) exclusively for our platform of choice. It goes without saying (but I’ll say it anyway), Sony delivered the goods to its consumers this past year.

PlayStation University turned three months old this week and it has been an amazing start to our brand this year as well. We’d like to thank all of our readers, haters, trolls, fanboys and straight shooters for helping make our forum community one of the best PlayStation communities on the net. You all have helped us grow so quickly and it’s been magical watching it happen. We look forward to 2010 and our goal of continuing to supply you with the latest and greatest in the world of Sony and we hope you guys will continue to stick by us and comment as well!

We do have a couple of features lined up for the next week or so and if any publishers/developers decide to drop some tasty info, we’ll cover that as well. Otherwise, we’ll be taking a short vacation until January 1st 4th, which is when we start to prepare to deliver for the new year.

Have a great Holiday season with the family, eat food, finish up those unfinished games and get ready to make your New Year’s resolutions.
