We’ve all seen the videos of Madison from Heavy Rain getting nude among other things surrounding Quantic Dreams’ upcoming epic drama. However, it would appear that the ratings board, BBFC, doesn’t believe that any of these acts warrant a high enough rating for the game to be sold to mature audiences only.
According to BBFC, Heavy Rain received its rating for “strong language, violence and sex.” Oddly enough, this was only pushy enough to gain a 15 rating from the company.
This will undoubtedly change when it comes to the ESRB and North America, especially considering that Quantic Dreams does not wish to release a censored version of its vision in any region.
Heavy Rain is rumored to be releasing in Japan sometime in February. We’re sure more content will come to the forefront by then.
bet that means the scene is cut out. even so, seems like a strange choice. but the rules are much more relaxed over here regarding censorship anyway
Any more news on the demo? This game looks really cool and I hope it releases in February or March
Oh yeah…fingers crossed that ESRB is more relaxed than usual.
I thought that by “surprising rating”, this article meant it got a bad review. Glad I was wrong. I’ll buy this game no matter how much filth is in it. The game looks that good.
Ratings here are much lower I see movies in the US being rated 18 and here ending up being PG for parental guidnance lol, Québec 🙂
What do you see in that game? , it just looks like some kind of SIMS 3 + Playstation Home together. Boring
Well our papers have toples girls in them (one anyway) and Europe has naked ladies in shampoo ads, so I’m not too surprised. Why is the BBFC rating this anyway…I thought we scrapped it in favour of PEGI?
And Gringo, it’s nothing like Sims 3 or PlayStation Home, either collectively or seperately.
so… explain… what is so fun about this game? Enlight me
Seems that the UK isnt going to abandon BBFC after all as they seem to be rating more games than usual.
