It’s been nearly three years since Kojima Productions and Hideo Kojima released Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots to its fans and the general public. Immediately it was a success and a masterpiece unlike any other — which is expected from a perfectionist like Kojima — however, many figured that MGS4 would be the final iteration in the Metal Gear Solid franchise and that it would be the last time we had seen Snake.
Today, PS3Center.net has revealed that in the latest issue of PlayStation Magazine, Hideo Kojima has revealed that he is working on two unannounced titles that he plans to unveil at E3 2011 this year. While one title is considered the “next step” for a franchise (we’re putting money on Zone of Enders 3 finally), the other title is widely being considered to be Metal Gear Solid 5.
“MGS maestro Hideo Kojima’s got some big announcements for E3 in June: one a quasi-logical step for an existing game, the other… well, we’d be shocked if MGS5 wasn’t on the table at some stage. Or under it. In a box.”
Obviously it won’t matter what the titles being announced truly are, but the true attention will revolve around Kojima as any projects he is working on are instantly going to be considered a classic and must-have title for this generation of gaming. The only thing really left to figure out is whether or not it’s going to be exclusive.
Raiden’s son should be new Samurai Snake, Sunny should be hotter, and Otacon isn’t allowed to retire.
if kojima have 2 unannouced games then how come mgs5 is expected to be there? how can you announce an announced game? i dont understand this. now it can be anything like remakes.
