If you’re a multi-console owner and you were wondering which format of Mortal Kombat to purchase, I believe the choice was just made for you. Despite the possibility of Microsoft receiving an exclusive character themselves, I still can’t imagine any included character that would be as bad ass to play with in Mortal Kombat than the God of War himself — Kratos.

According to Official PlayStation Magazine, Kratos is going to come fully functional in the game with his own blend of moves and fatalities. As to what to expect from his list of fatalities? Well, once can only imagine as the possibilities should be endless. The only concern I have is weapon spamming with Kratos may ruin the experience entirely. Furthermore, there has been a special arena environment built for Kratos as well.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to play the Story Mode as Kratos, which I consider a minor blow to the overall experience. However, Mortal Kombat has always been a title that shines when played against other people, so that limitation shouldn’t be an issue.
