Long-Forgotten PS3 Game Might Return, But Probably on PS6
L.A. Noire 2 possibly a PS6 game

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has offered a glimmer of hope for the return of a 2011 Rockstar Games title, but it sounds like it might be a PS6 game if our prayers are eventually answered. Developed by the now-defunct Team Bondi, L.A. Noire was a technical marvel that garnered a cult following over the years. The game received a PS4 port and a VR version, but a sequel remains elusive.

Why L.A. Noire 2 is likely to be a PS6 game, if it happens

When Game File (paywalled, via GameSpot) recently asked Zelnick if Rockstar Games plans to do something with L.A. Noire, he responded, “Yes,” before adding, “You never know.”

Zelnick understandably doesn’t want to give anything away and made sure to note that any official announcement would come from Rockstar Games, not him.

“The answer broadly is we’re looking at doing something in the future with all of our intellectual property, but nothing to announce,” he concluded.

If Rockstar Games develops L.A. Noire 2, we don’t expect it to release anytime soon. It has been more than a decade since GTA V was released, and we have yet to see GTA VI. The only new game Rockstar launched during the PS4 era was Red Dead Redemption 2.

If L.A. Noire 2 does become a reality, expect it to be a PS6 title… or even a PS7 game.
