If point and click titles are something you enjoy playing, you should be excited to find out that Machinarium has officially been announced for the PlayStation Network this year. The game, which originally released on PC and Mac in 2009, is expected to be released later this year with two other games from Amanita Design to follow shortly after.
Oddly enough, this release will be exclusive to the PlayStation Network as Microsoft has refused to allow Machinarium to release as an XBLA title.
“We were already refused by Microsoft to bring the game to Xbox,” he told CasualGaming.biz.
“They weren’t interested because the game was already released for Mac and Windows, and Microsoft demanded it as part of an exclusivity deal.
“We’re not interested in Microsoft anymore.”
Obviously this decision by Microsoft should result in all future titles from the developer being exclusive to PlayStation 3, PC and Mac. Amanita Design also has titled named Samorost 3, Botanicula and interactive music video Osada in the pipeline as well. Currently, Botanicula has a release window for this year, Samorost 3 is likely two years from hitting its full potential release and Osada should be unveiled and fully functional on the developers website sometime quite soon.

I loved this game. All 6 playthroughs.
