Mass Effect 3 moved into early 2012 release window

Bioware has announced that the upcoming sci-fi adventure Mass Effect 3 will miss this years holiday 2011 release and will be pushed back until 2012.

Executive producer Casey Hudson confirmed the delay via the official Mass Effect 3 Facebook , commenting that Mass Effect 3 will be released within the first few months of 2012.

“Mass Effect 3 will be released in the first three months of 2012,” wrote Hudson. “The development team is laser focused on making sure Mass Effect 3 is the biggest, boldest and best game in the series, ensuring that it exceeds everyone’s expectations.”

Alongside the announcement, Bioware posted two fresh screenshots, which you can view below. Mass Effect 3 is in development for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Stay tuned for more details.

  1. I love sci-fi books. The Mass Effect series has been one of my favorite console RPGs to date. Hopefully the extra few months will give the developers more time to polish the game.

    The new images look good.
