DICE and EA have released new concept art for Battlefield 3 (via Facebook), displaying a toasted landscape of Wake Island. The developers at DICE have always had a love for map, with a recent version of it being included in Battlefield 1943.

“There will always be a special place in my heart for Wake Island”, said DICE producer Lars Gustavsson.

The Back to Karkand map pack is available for free to those who pre-order the game and Wake Island will be one in four maps included in the DLC download.
