A surprise 13-year-old PS Vita RPG is coming to home consoles for the first time, with its PS5 version getting a September 2026 release date. Published by Furyu and developed by Studio Saizensen, Exstetra was released in Japan only for the PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS back in 2013.

Exstetra will release on the PS5 on September 3, 2026. The PC remaster is out today.

“Kiss is the only way to save two worlds destined for ruin,” the plot reads. “Set in Amazea, a Tokyo fused with another world and fated for destruction, this is the story of a battle in which you become the chosen savior, a ‘Prisma,’ and fight to save two worlds from the brink of annihilation. The only way to save the world is a kiss…”

This is Exstetra’s first global release. Back in 2013, localization expert XSEED was quizzed about potentially localizing the game for an English-speaking audience, to which the company responded that it was unlikely.

XSEED is not involved in this project, however.

Exstetra’s PS Store page has not gone live yet, and its PS5 price has not been confirmed yet.
