A PS5 and PS4 action game that was added to the PS Plus Premium classics catalog in 2024 has received a surprise update. When it launched on the service and the PS Store, Star Wars Episode I – The Phantom Menace didn’t support trophies. That’s no longer the case.

PS Plus Premium PS5, PS4 game Star Wars Episode I – The Phantom Menace adds 21 trophies

The Disney classic added 21 trophies without any prior announcement yesterday. Players have a total of 21 gongs to unlock, including the Platinum.

Trophies look fairly straightforward, mostly story-related.

If you don’t have PS Plus Premium, The Phantom Menace costs only $4.99 on the PS Store. The PS5 and PS4 versions come with enhanced with up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters.

“The taxation of trade routes to outlying systems is in dispute,” a description reads. “The greedy Trade Federation has stopped all shipping to the small planet of Naboo with a blockade of deadly battleships. Take part in the events from the Star Wars: Episode I story — and beyond — while taking on the roles of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Queen Amidala and Captain Panaka.”

The Phantom Menace originally released in 1999 for the PS1 and Windows.
