A PS5 action-adventure game has added an Uncharted-themed item that players must earn through gameplay. As revealed on X by The Last of Us account, The Last of Us II will reward players for completing the game with two Uncharted skins for two key characters.
As shown in the highlight, players who complete the celebrated sequel’s Chronological Mode will receive a Nathan Drake costume for Joel, decking the character out in Uncharted’s iconic look. Players will also receive a Sam Drake outfit for Tommy.
The two skins arrived with patch v2.1.0 on PlayStation 5 and patch v1.5 on PC.
How to unlock Nathan Drake and Sam Drake outfits in The Last of Us Part II Remastered
Players can unlock the Nathan and Sam Drake skins by finishing The Last of Us Part II Remastered’s Chronological mode.
Because the game tells its story out of chronological order, Chronological mode is a free update that reorders the game’s events so they appear in the order they occur. In this mode, the game starts in Abby’s childhood, told as a flashback in the original order. The developer considers this mode an add-on and encourages first-time players to experience the game in its non-linear fashion.
Chronological mode is for returning players and those who want to explore the game’s story in a fresh format. The two skins are unlocked specifically for the No Return roguelike mode. The mode replaces the game’s narrative with randomized combat encounters that change with each run. Players will have to rely on their skills and knowledge from previous runs to combat enemies.
This highlight comes weeks after online rumors suggested Naughty Dog is developing a brand-new Uncharted game.
