Resistance 3’s Multiplayer to be “More Focused”

Insomniac Games revealed a little bit more of Resistance 3 this past Saturday night and as expected, it was well received by most gamers and the anticipation has already started. One of the key focuses that IG has taken with Resistance 3 is to make the multiplayer portion a lot “more focused” and not so all over the place.

The studio’s Community Manager, James Stevenson, has recently been responding on several sites, including Twitter, about the changes and upcoming improvements you can expect from Resistance 3. One of those changes was heavily focused on multiplayer.

“It’s a more focused experience, progression-based, and takes place in maps located around the world,” he said. The game has been in development for two years, and is “playable start to finish on disc”.

Stevenson also revealed that the live-action footage would not be making its way into the final disc of the game and that the in-game cut scenes would actually be the in-game engine instead.

“Live-action is just for the trailers only and setting the mood,” Insomniac confirmed. “The game cutscenes will be in-engine.”

The live-action news is either something you’re happy about or not, it all depends how excited you’ve been about seeing more of it as of late. To me, I’d personally like to see more of the game itself to see what type of improvements truly have taken place. Until then, I remain skeptical.
