Retro City Rampage announced for PS3 and PS Vita

A recent post on the PlayStation Blog confirmed that the classic gameplay inspired Retro City Rampage coming to the PS3 and PS Vita. If your drawing a blank right now, let me refresh your memory. Retro City Rampage is a crime game that uses a top-down view, much like the older Grand Theft Autos. It is also open-world and sports a full story mode with over 50 missions, 30 score based challenges, over 25 weapons to choose from, and much more.

Retro City Rampage is a throw back to classic games of all kinds. Instead of simply being a drive and shoot GTA clone, Retro City Rampage focuses on several aspects of gameplay that will have your nostalgia meter in the red. You can steal cars, jump on people for coins, collect power-ups, swing across the city on your bionic arm, as well as several other throw backs you may recognize. Several genres also have their part to play in this title, from driving and shooting, to stealth and platforming, to adventure and rhythm, and beyond, all happening while sporting the same visuals and gameplay mechanics.

Retro City Rampage looks like a true nostalgia trip for past and present gamers alike. While there is currently no release date or price set, it shouldn’t be far off. Stay with PS Uni and we’ll keep you up to date.
